Nana Kra Kwamina II (Dr. Kwa David Whitaker, Esq.) is a career educator, cultural advocate, and African Chief.  He holds doctoral degrees in Educational Psychology and Law. He is the National Elder for African Genesis and has served as Tufohen (Legal Advisor) for Nana  Kodwo Eduakwa V, Chief of Atonkwa, Elmina Ghana since 2004. Nana has facilitated Akan’s rites of passage programming – since 1994 and 2008 respectively – for Kent State and West Virginia Universities. In 2004 Nana founded two Akan-based Charter schools – now in their 14th year – in Cleveland Ohio. He has published two books: Rites of Passage: A Journey of Transformation and Why I Became and African Chief.
